Position: Program Director
Location: Fort Meade, MD, Washington, D.C., Bethesda and Silver Spring in Maryland, Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax in Virginia
(deputed in any one of these locations) Employment Type: Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Director to oversee and manage the planning, direction, and execution of IT programs in a DoD environment. This role requires advanced leadership and technical expertise to ensure successful delivery and innovation across various complex projects. The Program Director will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the program lifecycle, from initiation to completion, while fostering collaboration across multiple teams. What You Will Do: Lead and manage IT programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and implement strategies for the successful execution of projects within a DoD environment. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project success. Oversee the procurement of IT hardware and software, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the program management process. Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and achievements to senior management. Research and implement new and emerging technologies to improve program outcomes. Maintain compliance with DoD regulations and policies related to IT operations. Manage and mentor team members, ensuring their professional growth and development. What We Need: Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (required). Minimum of ten (10) years of IT program management experience, with at least five (5) years of experience in a DoD environment. Experience with technology procurement and the implementation of IT systems. Strong leadership and management skills. Advanced knowledge of IT program management. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations certification. DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in an IT-related field. Clearance Level: DIA adjudicated clearance TS, SCI eligible.
