It includes monthly briefings on major global flashpoints, with insights and intelligence delivered in a rigorous scenario framework that generates "indicators and warnings,” and an annual conference.
Ergo seeks an Events Manager of the very highest caliber to join its New York City office and support the FPF and other Ergo events and conferences. Applicants must have part-time, flexible work capability, with a preference for individuals located in/around New York City . We are looking for a self-driven and energetic professional to join as Events Manager and help grow the events program at Ergo. This position requires extensive collaboration with the Business Development and Leadership teams to identify and execute a portfolio of events and meetings.
The Events Manager will focus on the execution of events for Ergo’s clients, to include dinners, conferences, retreats, and more. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contribute strategic insights to the overall events content marketing strategy and demonstrate a passion for our brand. This is a great opportunity to rapidly absorb rare insights on compelling issues and build a remarkable skill set performing a range of critical roles and responsibilities, including:
- Collaborate with the research team and business units to produce events, ensuring timely delivery
- Assist with content for marketing and brand materials, including promotional, descriptive, and thought leadership copy
- Curiosity to understand users’ needs and industry trends to produce compelling discussions and experiences
- Demonstrate a passion to write precisely and clearly. Proofread and copyedit event drafts and marketing materials before being published
- Client-facing, customer service expertise including effective and professional oral and written communication
- Work closely with Ergo's research and executive teams
- Interact with leaders and front-line managers in global policy and industries
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on business and/or international affairs and have 3-5 years’ work experience in international business, journalism, event or conference planning. Self-starters with demonstrated passion and drive are especially encouraged to apply.

- A proven capacity to research, write and present complex material
- The ability to work well with a team
- Solid facility with Microsoft Office (familiarity with Adobe Design Suite is a plus)
- A minimum GPA of 3.5 in college and/or grad school
