Overview
County instructional sports programs are offered for youth sports participants. Activities include a variety of sports and games.
RATE OF PAY: Contingent - Salary commensurate with experience:
- Sports Instructor I: Minimum Wage (Paraprofessional)
- Sports Instructor II: $16 - $18/hour (Paraprofessional)
- Sports Instructor III: $18 - $21/hour (Professional)
- Sports Instructor IV: $21 - $32/hour (Professional)
Minimum Requirements:
- Instructor I: Background in coaching sports skills or leading children’s activities, history of participation in a specific sport. Meets Coaches Registry requirements.
- Instructor II: Have or obtain CPR and First Aid certification within six months of employment (except camps – required prior to first day).
- Instructor III: Relevant specialized experience and/or holds a certification in their respective sport.
- Instructor IV: Has five years of experience (Club/High School/College/Professional) or other significant credentials (High School and/or College Playing Awards/Established Professional Athletes).
