Role Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and client-focused Marketing Specialist, Employee Benefits to support our Employee Benefits team in marketing benefit plans for prospects and clients, coordinating with insurance carriers and vendors, and organizing plan options for clear client presentation. This role requires strong communication, spreadsheet, and project management skills to help our clients make informed benefits decisions.
What You Will Do Market client benefit plans to carriers and vendors, gathering competitive quotes and plan designs. Prepare and manage Request for Proposals (RFPs) by coordinating with insurance carriers and benefits vendors. Analyze and compare plan options received from carriers and organize them into easy-to-understand comparison spreadsheets and reports. Assist in benefit strategy development by providing data-driven insights on plan performance and market trends. Collaborate with account managers and consultants to ensure benefit plan options align with client objectives. Coordinate with underwriting and carrier contacts to ensure accurate and timely delivery of proposals and benefits data. Support client presentations by preparing polished marketing deliverables, plan summaries, and visuals. Maintain organized documentation for all marketing activities and ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met. What You Will Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance brokerage, or benefits marketing. Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, chart creation, etc.) and other Microsoft Office tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously. Experience with benefits quoting platforms, carrier portals, or proposal management systems is a plus. Familiarity with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit plans. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a benefits brokerage, third-party administrator (TPA), or insurance carrier environment. Understanding of ACA compliance and benefit plan regulations. Experience with proposal design or presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva). What You Will Experience
