We are hiring multiple engineering positions in our Design/Construction Group for District 3, located in Boise or Caldwell. Responsibilities include all aspects of highway project design and construction from start to finish. Engineering positions are part of the Technical Engineering Services Lead (TESL) Horizontal Career Path, with opportunities for progression through on-the-job and classroom training. Entry levels include: Engineer Intern – starting wage: $31.75 Associate Engineer - starting wage: $34.38 Progression wages: Staff Engineer - starting wage: $38.04 Staff Engineer 1 - starting wage: $40.56 Technical Engineer Services Leader - wage: $44.91 Qualifications include licensure, experience in engineering principles, and a valid driver's license. Some positions require extensive travel and physical ability to perform site work. Example Duties
Plan and coordinate engineering projects. Perform complex engineering work involving design and construction challenges. Supervise staff and coordinate with teams. Minimum Qualifications for Staff Level
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Idaho or eligible for licensure. Experience in law interpretation, technical reports, and project inspection. Minimum Qualifications for Engineer Intern Level
Must meet one of the following within 6 months of employment: Certification by Idaho Board as an EIT, or Certification from another jurisdiction with graduation from an accredited engineering program, or Graduation from an accredited program plus passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
