Vice President of Technology
to lead our team of Technology Principals and elevate OBZ’s position as a regional technology leader. This is a
strategic, client-facing
leadership role that requires deep expertise across
Data Engineering, AI/ML, Generative AI, and Enterprise Architecture—combined with a commercial mindset and strong consulting experience. You will work closely with the CTO and drive both
pre-sales engagement
and
technical delivery assurance
across strategic client programs. You will also help shape OBZ's technical vision, mentor solution architects, and represent OBZ in critical CxO-level engagements. Key Responsibilities Technology Leadership Lead OBZ’s Technology Principal team, ensuring high technical standards, cross-industry architectural depth, and delivery excellence. Co-own OBZ’s technical strategy with the CTO, ensuring alignment with market shifts, client needs, and emerging technologies. Guide solutioning and architecture design across major client engagements in data platforms, ML systems, and GenAI. Partner with Practice Heads and CTO to define and refine OBZ’s technical strategy. Client & Pre-Sales Engagement Act as a
trusted advisor
to clients during pre-sales and strategic delivery phases, engaging CxO stakeholders across ASEAN. Actively participate in client workshops, discovery phases, and CxO discussions to understand business challenges and map them to technical solutions. Lead architecture and design presentations for pre-sales pursuits across ASEAN, particularly with AWS-aligned customers. Review SOWs, BRDs, HLDs/LLDs, and ensure alignment with best practices. Technical Delivery Oversight Serve as a senior escalation point for technical delivery issues. Conduct regular reviews to ensure technical implementation quality and alignment to business outcomes. Help accelerate implementation of reusable components and GenAI agents for delivery teams. Innovation & IP Development Guide the development of reusable reference architectures and frameworks (e.g., agentic execution frameworks, GenAI accelerators). Partner with CTO to shape and evolve OBZ’s IP roadmap. Mentorship & Talent Development Coach architects, tech leads, and engineers across Data, AI, and GenAI streams. Help attract top technology talent and foster a culture of learning and engineering excellence. Qualifications 15+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, ideally in consulting or cloud-native environments. Proven experience in
enterprise architecture ,
data platform modernization , and
AI/ML transformation . Demonstrated expertise in
Generative AI technologies , including hands-on familiarity with tools like Amazon Bedrock, LangChain, vector DBs, RAG architectures, and large model tuning. Cross-industry exposure—Telecom, Banking, Retail preferred. Experience with AWS (ideally worked at or with AWS ProServe or AWS SI partners). Familiar with CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps, and scalable cloud-native solution design (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.). Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; must be client-facing and comfortable working with regional CxOs. Experience working across ASEAN markets, with understanding of cultural and business nuances in the region. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Willingness to extensive travel across ASEAN for key engagements.
