Audubon is currently seeking an Integrity/Corrosion Technician to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of all pipeline integrity and corrosion field service activities in accordance with AFS and Client specifications and procedures. Operations may include cathodic protection, internal corrosion, AC/DC interference, and atmospheric corrosion. Must have NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) or Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) certification.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support AFS Pipeline Integrity Department in field data gathering and projects.
- Provide quality survey/field data to office personnel in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Audubon and/or Operator field operation procedures, as required.
- Coordinate with the office on a daily basis for assigned jobs.
- Responsible for all field survey data collection.
- Work with Project Management to ensure timely coordination of field projects.
- Ensure field work and data meet Client specifications and communicate accordingly.
- Maintain an organized daily schedule.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position:
- AAS in Pipeline Integrity or Corrosion preferred.
- Required: NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) or Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) certification.
- Minimum of 2+ years of prior pipeline integrity and corrosion work.
- Experience with Close Interval Survey, DCVG, ACVG, Data Logger, and PCM Equipment.
- Experience in soil resistivity Wenner 4 pin method and pipe-to-soil measurements.
- Experience in installation and repair of Test Stations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be detail-oriented with effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist frequently; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; up to 100% travel; weekend, holiday, and out-of-town work possible.
