Job Description:
This position involves complex to expert-level work supporting information technology applications through planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing them. These applications include electronic health records, registration, scheduling, billing, collections, lab and pathology, radiology, PACS, cardiovascular, pharmacy, home care, long-term care, population health, patient-facing technologies, enterprise resource planning, workforce scheduling, time and attendance, and customer relationship management.
The Principal Analyst oversees technical support, configuration, integration, and maintenance throughout the application lifecycle, including selection, implementation, support, archiving, and decommissioning. They provide strategic guidance, ensure alignment with organizational goals, manage projects, and mentor other analysts to develop best practices and standards. Supervisory responsibilities may include lower-level analysts.
Essential functions are performed independently with minimal supervision and include analyzing problems, translating requirements, configuring and maintaining systems, documenting workflows, partnering with vendors, solving complex issues, managing projects, mentoring teams, developing standards, following documentation protocols, participating in training development, hardware integration, business reporting, on-call duties, testing, meetings, budget management, industry engagement, and project portfolio management. The role involves advocating data-driven decision-making and reporting project benefits to leadership.
Skills required include proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word), in-depth business and application knowledge, system analysis, problem-solving, technical writing, communication, project management, resource planning, and strategic management.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, business, or related field; Healthy Planet Compass Rose certification; experience with Epic Care Management tools, Epic Compass Rose programs, collaborative care plans, SDoH, Reporting Workbench, and Epic modules like Ambulatory or ClinDoc; strong Epic application build and maintenance skills; and at least 8 years of healthcare experience.
Physical requirements involve operating computers and IT equipment, visual tasks, and prolonged sitting or standing. The position is located at Peaks Regional Office in Broomfield, Colorado, with scheduled weekly hours of 40. The hourly rate ranges from $53.58 to $84.36, depending on experience.
