Associate Director, Democracy Dēmos seeks an Associate Director of Democracy to help design and implement work across two of the Democracy portfolio’s core issue areas: money in politics and voting rights. The Associate Director will work under the supervision of the Director of Democracy and collaborate closely with the other Associate Director of Democracy to lead the Democracy team. In coordination with grassroots and movement building organizations, the Associate Director will provide research, policy analysis, and strategic leadership focused on building power and increasing democratic participation among Black and brown communities. The most competitive candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial orientation, humility, and the ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Developing content and executing projects: Leading the creation and execution of research reports, policy briefs, advocacy materials, and commentary on democracy-related issues. Collaborating effectively with staff across Dēmos’s teams and other members of the Democracy team. Team Leadership: Assisting with team leadership and daily management alongside the Director of Democracy and the other Associate Director. Providing clear goals and direction, fostering team cohesion, and representing the Democracy team in meetings with internal staff and external stakeholders, including funders. Staff Supervision: Supervising staff by checking in regularly to ensure clarity on goals, providing feedback, supporting staff development, and leading hiring processes for supervised roles. Modeling organizational policies, practices, and values. Developing and strengthening external partnerships: Collaborating with movement partners, government agencies, elected officials, advocacy organizations, and academic institutions to support strategies for building an inclusive, multiracial democracy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
