Position Summary We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Charity Event Planner to support the planning and execution of community-driven, purpose-filled events. This role works closely with the Event Planner Lead and other team members to ensure smooth, meaningful experiences for guests, sponsors, and nonprofit partners. This is an ideal position for someone looking to gain more hands-on experience in event coordination, nonprofit work, or community engagement.
Responsibilities - Assist in coordinating logistics for events including registration, vendor communication, setup, and teardown -Help manage event timelines, checklists, supplies, and task tracking -Support onsite execution, including assisting with setup, guest services, volunteer coordination, and troubleshooting -Assist with outreach to vendors, donors, volunteers, and nonprofit partners -Help collect and organize event-related materials (signage, swag, supplies, etc.) -Support post-event wrap-up including surveys, thank-you communications, and reporting -Collaborate with the communications team to support event promotions and social media -Participate in brainstorming and planning meetings for event strategy and creative direction
Qualifications -At least 1 year of event or volunteer coordination experience preferred -Highly organized with strong attention to detail -Energetic, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and jump in where needed -Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders -Comfortable working independently and as part of a team -Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva, or social media tools is a plus -Availability for some evening and weekend events required -Passion for community service, giving back, and creating memorable experiences
