EverStaff, has partnered with a well-established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence in Southern California and is seeking a skilled Litigation Secretary with 5+ years of civil litigation experience to join their Irvine office. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who values precision, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being a critical part of a high-performing litigation team.
About the Role:
As a Litigation Secretary, you will play a central role in supporting attorneys on complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts. From calendar management and trial prep to electronic filing and document organization, your contributions will be essential to the success of the team. Salary $85000-$100,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Handle electronic filing and service of court documents (state and federal courts)
- Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial binders and presentations
- Organize and maintain client and case files using the firm's document management system
- Collaborate with attorneys, finance, and administrative staff to process expenses, vendor payments, and support overflow needs
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' civil litigation experience in California courts
- Strong knowledge of State and Federal filing procedures (including e-filing) required
- Familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure (CCP) and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Experience with USPTO PTAB E2E and a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved school are a plus
Work Schedule:
5 days onsite for the first 90 days; hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite / 1 day remote thereafter.
