Senior Director of Enterprise Infrastructure Greater Cleveland, OH JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a college in the Cleveland, OH area in search of a Senior Director of Enterprise Infrastructure to join its team!
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role offering the opportunity to lead a transformative ERP modernization initiative and shape the future of enterprise systems across campus. The Senior Director will report to the Chief Information Officer and lead a campus-wide transition to a modern, cloud-based ERP platform. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership to align enterprise systems with institutional goals and user needs. This is a high-impact opportunity for a relationship-driven professional who thrives in collaborative academic environments and excels at translating complex technology into accessible, user-friendly solutions. Responsibilities ERP Transformation and Enterprise Systems Strategy Hands-on experience implementing, managing, or supporting Workday and/or Banner Cloud ERP systems, including configuration, integration, and user adoption strategies. Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of Oberlin’s transition to a modern cloud-based ERP (e.g., Banner Cloud or Workday). Oversee the enterprise applications portfolio, including Student Information, Finance, HR, and third-party integrations. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance of ERP providers. Serve as a bridge between technical teams and users, ensuring technology adoption and stakeholder alignment. Business Process Improvement and Change Management Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to reimagine administrative and academic workflows. Design and lead robust change management strategies, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement. Champion service excellence, continuous improvement, and technology enablement across the institution. Implement a support model tailored to cloud-native ERP environments. Oversee integration using modern platforms such as iPaaS, and guide enterprise architecture evolution. Lead efforts to enhance data governance, stewardship, and access, supporting institutional reporting and decision-making. Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Risk Mitigation Partner with Information Security to ensure systems meet security, privacy, and compliance standards. Support ongoing risk management through system design, access controls, and compliance alignment. Team Leadership and Cross-Campus Collaboration Inspire, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Work closely with administrative and academic departments to ensure technology alignment with institutional goals. Join the CIT Leadership Team to promote knowledge sharing, cohesive execution, and a high-performing, service-oriented culture. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education IT. Direct experience leading and/or migrating ERP systems (Ellucian Banner and/or Workday). Experience with application development, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and enterprise integration platforms. Demonstrated success in business process improvement, change management, and large-scale project execution. Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience managing vendor partnerships and enterprise software portfolios. Familiarity with cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks applicable to higher education. Experience in liberal arts colleges or similar academic environments is a plus.
