The Executive Director at Mosaic Christian Fellowship will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to support the church’s mission to reach, embrace, and disciple individuals in the gospel. The role includes overseeing the staff to equip and release the church family’s gifts in the pursuit of this vision, and directing all internal operations to ensure organizational alignment. The ED will need to be adept at working in a diverse team and fostering unity and collaboration in the pursuit of shared goals. The ED will also work closely with the Senior Pastor in facilitating a dynamic and life-giving gospel culture in the staff team and wider church, and will direct and oversee strategic planning, managing workflows, and day-to-day operations. The Need:
Mosaic has grown significantly over the last four years. As the church has grown and become more complex, Mosaic is seeking an experienced ED who is full of the Spirit to lead in organizational and operational excellence. The ED would relieve the Senior Pastor in operational oversight of day-to-day staff tasks and streamline workflow to accomplish our church’s mission to Reach, Embrace and Disciple. Key Responsibilities: Strategic and Operational Oversight: Oversee the church’s operations, ensuring alignment with its mission and values. Evaluate and improve existing systems to enhance productivity, efficiency, and alignment with the church’s mission. Translate the church’s vision into actionable goals and initiatives through overseeing our systems and processes. Train ministry leaders and volunteers on new and existing systems, ensuring clarity and consistency. Oversee the development of resources such as manuals, guides, and training materials for church-wide use. Facilitate communication between departments to ensure seamless operation and coordination. Regularly assess the effectiveness of implemented systems and make necessary adjustments. Work with the Senior Pastor to recruit and develop godly, gifted and gospel-hearted staff team members who are passionate about the vision of the church. Staff Management: Promote professional development and spiritual growth among staff members. Assist staff members to achieve their goals for ministry by providing consultations on strategy, resource management and communication. Work with the staff team to set appropriate and stretching organizational priorities and goals, including in each ministry and organizational area. Monitor and evaluate performance against strategy and be effective at adapting staff and volunteer goals/structures as appropriate. Work with the Senior Pastor in establishing clear organizational values, and a healthy and dynamic staff culture in which diverse voices are drawn out and contribute towards the united vision. Provide clear staff structure and reporting lines, regular 1-1s, and excellent personnel development. Plan 1 professional development training per year for Mosaic staff. Work to maintain a team culture of trust, transparency, teamwork, and fun where each team member is respected, known, and cared for. New Development Logistics Oversight: Oversee operations for new service creation. Support church planting logistics and alignment with sending church. Support the church planter with Mosaic’s systems and approaches. Qualifications: Spiritual Maturity:
A committed follower of Jesus Christ, demonstrating a life consistent with biblical principles and the mission of Mosaic Christian Fellowship. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Non-Profit Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within a corporate, church or non-profit organization, with a proven track record of effective team management and organizational growth. Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities. Excellent organizational and administrative skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and a track record of working well in diverse and complex teams. Excellent organizational effectiveness with a proficiency across the range of organizational processes. Has experienced professional failure, and personal suffering, and is able to speak to how these experiences have shaped their personal and professional formation. Proven track record as a leader of setting and delivering on ambitious goals. Hours Worked:
