Under the supervision of PROVE Faculty Leadership and with direction from faculty Principal Investigators, the Biostatistician will be responsible for performing primary analyses for multiple health services research projects. This is a part-time, 20 hrs/week position. Qualifications
The Biostatistician will be responsible for transfer of data from various data sources, cleaning and merging the data into workable data sets, and on occasion merging the primary dataset with other data sources. They will work with senior PROVE Biostatisticians/Epidemiologists and Faculty to design analytic plans and then perform these analyses in a rigorous fashion. They will have responsibility for ensuring that projects are proceeding according to plan and help develop recording systems to ensure the flow of data is tracked accurately and timely. They will also oversee use of our biostatistical server, primarily managed by a database manager. Education
Master's Degree in Biostatistics or a related field is required. Experience
Experience as a biostatistician or data analyst (1-2 years preferred). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High degree of computer literacy. Sound analytical and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to logically structure tasks and set priorities. Problem identification and troubleshooting skills. Ability to analyze data statistically and present it logically. Additional Job Details
