Conduct bottom-up fundamental research and analysis on municipal bond issuers. Collaborate with Fixed Income Investment Professionals to generate investment ideas. Monitor holdings and facilitate meetings with issuer stakeholders and industry specialists. Contribute to the municipal credit investment process. Develop and maintain comprehensive charts and visualizations to support credit analysis. Engage in projects with increasing complexity, receiving mentorship from experienced professionals. Travel occasionally for research trips to meet with issuer constituents and investment professionals. Required Experience
2-5 years of experience in credit research or a related field. Experience covering tax-exempt/municipal credit preferred; exposure to healthcare/hospitals and charter schools is a plus. Familiarity with fundamental credit analysis and working with sell-side firms and industry consultants. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, STEM, or a relevant field of study. Strong desire to develop bottom-up fundamental credit research skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with programming languages (Python, SQL, R) and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) is a plus. Ability to apply sound judgment in resolving complex matters. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and analytical skills. Ability to thrive in team settings and collaborate effectively. Compensation
Base Salary Range: $136,858 - $218,973, plus performance bonuses and retirement plan contributions.
