nWe are seeking a Certified Spanish Speaking Front Desk Medical Assistant (SS FD/MA) to join our team at Integrated Pain Management (IPM) in Gurnee, IL. This role is critical in ensuring efficient patient reception, administrative support, and clinical assistance. The SS FD/MA will act as a liaison between patients and providers, contributing to a seamless healthcare experience.
nExperience Required:
n· MUST have a minimum of at least 6 months in a similar role.
n· MUST have a certification for Medical Assistant. Uncertified candidates with experience are encouraged to apply but must have the required 6 months in a similar position and be able to obtain the MA certificate within 6 months.
n· MUST speak Spanish.
nHours of operations:
nThis is a Full-time position with the following hours:
nMonday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
nResponsibilities:
nPatient Reception and Recovery Room:
n· Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
n· Accurately verify patient information and insurance details.
n· Schedule and manage patient appointments.
n· Address billing inquiries and process payments.
n· Follow directions of OR Nurse Manager.
nClinical Support · Prepare the examination room and main cleanliness.
n· Accurately take and record vital signs.
n· Assist providers with medical procedures.
n· Perform basic diagnostic tests as needed.
nPatient Care and Education · Provide high-quality patient education regarding procedures and care.
n· Communicate effectively and empathically with patients.
nDocumentation and Records Management · Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
n· Prepare and organize patient records and charts.
n· Complete forms related to worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.
nCare Coordination · Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers.
n· Follow up on referrals and external medical records.
n· Contribute to case management and care planning.
nSpecialized Tasks · Assist with occupational health assessments and documentation.
nCommunication and Coordination · Facilitate effective communication between staff and providers.
n· Act as a liaison to ensure smooth clinic operations.
nTraining and Development · Participate in ongoing training sessions.
n· Assist in training new FD/MA staff.
nQuality Assurance and Improvement · Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
n· Provide feedback to improve office procedures.
