Overview
This position will focus on trading. Traders from all backgrounds will be considered. The appropriate candidate will operate in a flexible and creative role and be given a wide variety of available resources to explore, develop, and implement trading ideas. The trader will execute a variety of products across multiple asset classes and will work closely with other group members and analysts to help cultivate new trading models. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or specific sciences, such as Physics; a Master's Degree in these areas of study is a plus. At least 24 months of professional, full-time trading experience. Must have some programming experience or quantitative knowledge, a technical background, and an understanding of economic fundamentals. Desire to learn about financial markets and economic theories; must have demonstrated interest in trading financial instruments either through academic work and/or professional experience. Strong math aptitude, numerical and quantitative analysis skills, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make excellent decisions under pressure. Entrepreneurial self-starter ready to work in a fast-paced team environment. Pro-active thinker with the ability to spot problems before they arise. Must be highly competitive, driven, and disciplined. Team player with strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written). Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required on the first day of employment.
