Director/Executive Director, Trade Product Management (Finance)
Job Description:
The role of Executive Director/Director within the Trade Finance ('Trade Products') of GTBA is to promote our Letter of Credit product offering and execute various trade transactions utilizing the short-term working capital product suite.
The responsibilities include collaborating with GTBA Origination Officers, client Relationship Managers ('RMs'), and clients to identify trade finance needs. The role requires coordination with Business Origination Units, Credit Divisions, and Operations units across the Mizuho global network to ensure successful execution of trade transactions. The primary focus is on Letter of Credit (LOC) offerings, with additional responsibilities for other products in the suite.
Responsibilities include structuring, arranging, reviewing documentation, and executing LOC opportunities, as well as supporting the working capital product suite with clients, Business Origination Units, legal, and credit divisions to source, structure, negotiate, and execute transactions.
General
Manage transactions for LOC and, when needed, SCF, Inventory Finance, and Receivable Purchase programs, supporting GTBA Origination Units and product partners.
Articulate product solutions and support all phases of structuring, negotiations, pricing, documentation, approval, and execution.
Coordinate GTBA risk distribution initiatives, including market sounding.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Support the implementation of the Trade Product Business Plan, drive results, and achieve targets.
Administrative
Thorough understanding of Mizuho Internal Operating Procedures ('IOP') for all trade products.
Coordinate credit approvals and documentation negotiations to ensure legal protections for the bank.
Operational understanding of products and solutions in coordination with GTBA's RCMG and ABOD units.
Policy
Review, monitor, and update product IOPs; support development of new products and improvements.
Technical Skills Required
Deep understanding of UCP and ISP guidelines; experience in Products, Credit, Operations, and Client Service within Mizuho's branch network.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Minimum Job Requirements
At least 10 years' experience in Trade Finance products within financial institutions.

Education:
College degree in banking/finance; MBA preferred.
Languages:
Spanish and Portuguese skills are a plus but not required.
Other:
Focus on global coordination to promote and execute products, improve delivery processes, and expand business. Salary ranges from $180,000 to $250,000, with additional benefits and discretionary bonus.
