Job Description Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technician
Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology - Nuclear Medicine Tech
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (06:30 AM - 03:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Experience: 3 years required
License: State License in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography
Certifications: BLS, NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N) certified, ARRT (CT) preferred but not required
Must-Have: - Experience with bone scans (whole body and 3 phase), HIDA scans, GI Bleed, Lymphoscintigraphy, Parathyroid imaging, Thyroid uptake, Renal scans with Lasix, Lung scans, MUGA scans, WBC infection imaging, and MPI stress tests. - Radiation badge required; provided by agency.
Job Description: - The position involves rotating shifts with two other technicians, working 5 days a week. - Rotating call schedule, including weekends and holidays. - The technician will float between General Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology service lines as needed. - Open to block scheduling upon approval prior to assignment. - This role is at a Level II Trauma, Acute Care Hospital. - Scrub color required: teal top, black bottom. - Charting through Epic system. - Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed. - Modules should be completed pre-start and are non-billable, averaging 4 hours. - During hurricane season (June through November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Be aware of peak months: August and September.
