Kesslers Diamonds is an employee-owned jewelry retailer specializing in exquisite diamonds and diamond jewelry. We take pride in serving the client better than anyone and helping our clients express their love in unique and lasting ways!
Our Senior Merchandise Assistant works closely with our Diamond Buyer to ensure our diamond collections are expertly curated and seamlessly managed.
Key Responsibilities: Assist Buyer in coordinating all activities related to the procurement of diamonds for the intent to purchase. Stay informed about diamond market trends, pricing fluctuations and consumer preferences to assist in strategic planning Assist the Buyer to ensure the product is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company. Assist in reviewing loose diamonds upon arrival to ensure they meet company standards and customer expectations. Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless diamond merchandising and presentation. Help Buyer maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records. Assist in coordinating appropriate methods needed to distribute commodities in a cost-effective manner. Generate reports on diamond sales performance, margin analysis, and inventory turnover to support strategic purchasing decisions. Communicate with diamond vendors to place orders, request memos, confirm shipments and follow up on pending orders. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned. What We're Looking For:
High school diploma required GIA Certification preferred or willingness to attain during employment Minimum one year of experience in an office support role Exceptional attention to detail Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions Passion for diamonds and fine jewelry!
