JOB SUMMARY
The Juliette Specialist is a full-time position, serving girls and volunteers by providing support to ensure effective delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. The Juliette Specialist is a member of the Girl Experience team, which is responsible for girl and volunteer support. S/he will support and grow the Juliette program. Juliette Girl Scouts enroll as individually registered girls, as an alternative to traditional troops - when troops are not yet formed in the area, or a more independent structure is desired. The Juliette Specialist will act as the point of contact for the Juliette families for questions about activities, ways to be involved, and product programs (Cookies and Treats& Keeps.) S/he will facilitate virtual, in-person, and self-led programming throughout the year, including the Girl Scout Cookie Program with parents and an end of year celebration event.
Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement program activities, customized to girls in an individual experience (Juliettes and others), maintaining the Girl Scout Leadership Experience principles. Communicate regularly with girls and parents, highlighting Council events and opportunities for Juliette Girl Scouts. Support efforts for program sustainability. Participate in the annual product program and all other Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Program fundraisers and events as assigned. Assure that all monies collected on behalf of the council are returned on time. Ensure required paperwork is completed by girls, families, and/or site staff. To include product program permission and admin forms, outcomes surveys, and reporting documents. Organize programming to support girls in their experience, including regular Juliette-specific program opportunities, product programs, virtual meetups, and end-of-year bridging ceremony (programs are based on the GSUSA National Program Portfolio). Coordinate opportunities for girls to connect through Council and Service Unit sponsored events, including at STEM Expo, Cookie Rally, Night Under the Stars, and local Service Unit events (via Membership). Collaborate cross-departmentally to include and advocate for Juliette Girl Scouts. Thoughtfully leverage Juliette-specific product program revenue to facilitate year-round Girl Scout opportunities for all Juliettes. Having knowledge and the ability to articulate the mission, leadership experience, key message points, and brand for Girl Scouting Provide excellent customer care, maintaining positive relationships with girls, parents, and all other stakeholders. Creating curriculum and coordinating logistics for at-home badge kits on an as-needed basis to support the overall Girl Experience team. Encouraging and supporting girls in attaining desired goals and ensuring they have fun! All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with informal education and/or youth development best practices Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required; ability to interact with girls, staff, volunteers, and parents in a positive, professional manner. Strong administrative skills, including record keeping, data collection, and written and verbal communication Experience in working/volunteering with youth. Ability to commit to the organizational goals of the Council, including the Girl Scout Promise and Law Bachelors degree preferred. Current Georgia drivers license and reliable transportation. PREFERRED SKILLS
Ability to operate Microsoft suite programs and other GSGATL-specific applications Ability to create high-quality educational experiences in an informal learning environment, leveraging the GSUSA National Program Portfolio. Good communicator, well-organized, flexible, reliable, adaptable Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work independently Ability to facilitate large- and small-group programs to groups of 10-100+ in-person or virtually. Bilingual Spanish/English applicants are preferred, but not required. WORKING CONDITIONS
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends. Willingness to attend in-person staff, team, and department meetings. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Requires the physical ability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
