About the Job: DataSoft Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Interface Coordinator with HVAC expertise to join our client's SRPPF project in Houston, TX, or Greenville, SC. This role combines senior-level responsibilities in interface coordination and HVAC engineering, making you a key player in managing the intersection of various engineering disciplines, with a focus on HVAC systems. You will act as the primary liaison between the company, clients, and third parties, ensuring that interface management responsibilities align with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Defining Interfaces: Identify and define interaction points between HVAC systems and other project components, such as electrical and mechanical systems. Coordination and Communication: Facilitate clear communication and coordination between teams, involving regular meetings, documentation, and collaborative tools. Resolving Conflicts: Address and resolve conflicts from overlapping work or misalignments between scopes, including mediation and schedule adjustments. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of interface management to support project flow and dispute resolution. Risk Management: Proactively manage risks associated with HVAC interfaces to prevent delays and cost overruns, including developing mitigation strategies. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE): Integrate HSE considerations throughout all project phases. Interface Management Excellence: Lead the development and execution of interface management strategies, maintaining organized records, and conducting regular meetings to ensure alignment and information sharing.
HVAC Engineering/Designing Responsibilities:
Conduct reviews of construction documents related to HVAC systems. Plan, organize, and coordinate HVAC engineering and multi-discipline design projects from planning through construction. Demonstrate expertise in HVAC design, particularly in the nuclear industry, including relevant codes and standards. Generate and review design calculations and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Familiarity with computer-aided drafting applications is required.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years in HVAC design / engineering, with a focus on nuclear industry standards preferred. Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred, but not required. A Professional Engineer License is preferred but not required. Project Management: Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects, with a successful background in interface management and project controls Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly recommended.
Skills and Attributes:
Proactive and goal-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical and technical writing abilities. Basic proficiency in computer software (word processing, email, spreadsheets). Ability to maintain high performance standards and quality in project interface management.
