Job Title: HVAC Mechanical Estimator
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Estimator who will be responsible for all aspects of HVAC and Mechanical estimation which includes taking off HVAC equipment, sheet metal, and piping as well as working directly with vendors to compile accurate estimates for potential commercial and residential multi-family HVAC projects of $1Million+. Relocation to the DC area is available for the right candidate. US based experience is required. Responsibilities: Accurately estimate plan and spec HVAC and mechanical projects using computer estimating software Analyze blueprints, specifications, and quotes Prepare labor and material estimates as well as subcontractor pricing Prepare and submit proposals to clients Establish and maintain client and vendor relationships Perform site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs Prepare submittal packages Interact with the sales and project management teams to ensure all projects are performed under budget and according to plans and specifications Qualifications: 5 + years of estimating experience in the HVAC and mechanical industry required Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents Knowledge of different types of HVAC and mechanical systems and their components Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam products and other mechanical estimating software.
