Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is seeking a BU Area Service Manager for the New England region, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. POSITION SUMMARY This role involves providing technical support and training aligned with Mitsubishi Trane HVAC US LLC (METUS) objectives. Responsibilities include advising customers on application, installation, operation, service procedures, and handling warranty support across all product lines distributed by METUS. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The key duties include, but are not limited to: Providing technical support to technicians and distributor staff on METUS products. Collaborating with the Business Unit Technical Services Manager and Senior Area Service Managers. Managing the assigned geographic area. Interpreting maintenance data from customers. Becoming a Subject Matter Expert on Inverter Mini Split and VRF Technology. Supporting the development of Business Unit Area Service Advisors. Delivering technical training to customers and distributors. Reporting on service issues and root causes. Resolving technical problems related to HVAC equipment. Working with QA teams to address product quality issues. Providing on-site installation and start-up training. Offering technical support via phone, email, forums, and in person. Interpreting wiring schematics and refrigerant diagrams. Operating refrigerant recovery equipment in compliance with regulations. Guiding distributor support personnel, including DSG members. Recommending service parts stocking. Reviewing equipment and labor concessions for abuse and trends. Traveling up to 50% domestically and occasionally internationally. Performing additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS HVAC-related Associate Degree or Technical School Certification. EPA Certification. 3-5 years HVAC service experience. Knowledge of ductless, VRF systems, and controls. Familiarity with BMS/BAS and BACnet. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record. Proven customer service skills. Ability to access job sites via stairs or ladders and lift up to 50 pounds. Team-oriented with a focus on METUS core values. Compensation The starting salary range is $80,000 to $110,000 annually, with potential variations based on experience and location. The total package may include bonuses, benefits, 401(k), insurance, paid leave, and parental/emergency leave, among others.
