Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our dedicated team in Sterling, VA. If you're a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for construction planning and design, we want to hear from you!
As a Preconstruction Manager , you’ll play a crucial role in the early stages of our commercial construction projects—analyzing plans, estimating costs, developing schedules, and collaborating closely with project managers and design teams. Your expertise will help ensure accurate, efficient, and successful project launches.
&##Develop detailed project estimates and budgets (materials, labor, equipment).
Collaborate with internal teams to review project scope and technical needs.
Draft preliminary project schedules and assist with value engineering efforts.
Research and source cost-effective materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Maintain strong communication with all project stakeholders.
&##Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
~Strong knowledge of construction systems, materials, and processes.
~ Proficiency with construction and preconstruction software.
~ Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
