They implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout, adapting and customizing programs to tailor them to each athlete. D1 Coaches take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining regular contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals.
Job Summary: The Head Speed and Strength Coach (HSSC) will be responsible for leading the team of local coaches and delivering the BEST workout experience in the industry to our clients. The HSSC will report to and assist the General Manager, ensuring all coaches are Level 1 certified the D1 Way and maintaining quality control standards via consistent auditing and coaching feedback. The Coach is the front-line customer experience at D1, demonstrating a passion for training athletes of all ages from 7 years old to adult athletes. Responsibilities include leading training in D1 membership workouts, D1-on-1, small group personal training, and team training. D1 Coaches assist in conducting assessments and goal setting during the FTA process, ensuring athletes are prescribed, motivated, and committed to the proper program to reach their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
- Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
- Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
- Exhibit passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service.
- Start and finish workouts on time.
- Assess and align each member with the proper program.
- Build and maintain relationships with each D1 member.
- Coach group workouts, personal training, and teams.
- Deliver accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition.
- Teach proper form and technique while keeping all our athletes safe.
Qualifications:
- Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
- Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA, NASM.
- Minimum of 5 years of strength & conditioning-related experience in a group, team, or personal training setting.
- Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).
