Storm2’s client is powering the next generation of digital commerce & is backed by private equity and undergoing an exciting financial transformation, they’ve rebuilt their go-to-market strategy, restructured internal operations, and are entering a new chapter focused on scale, profitability, and capital efficiency.
They’re now seeking a strategic, capital-markets-savvy Chief Financial Officer to help drive this transformation forward. This is a rare opportunity to join a lean executive team and lead financial operations at the intersection of fintech infrastructure, private equity, and high-growth SaaS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the refinancing or wind-down of existing institutional debt, working closely with lenders, counsel, and financial sponsors.
- Source and structure alternative capital options (venture debt, RBF, private credit).
- Optimize the capital stack for growth, cash flow, and long-term optionality.
- Drive discipline across capital allocation decisions and financial modeling.
Stakeholder & Board Relations
- Serve as the primary financial liaison to PE sponsors, lenders, and board members.
- Own board reporting, investor updates, and covenant tracking.
- Offer strategic direction through scenario modeling, forecasting, and risk assessments.
Strategic & Operational Finance
- Partner with the Head of Finance to oversee budgets, forecasts, and metrics.
- Support M&A analysis and corporate development opportunities.
- Maintain long-range financial models that align with company objectives.
- Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, and burn rate optimization
- Advise the CEO and exec team on financial strategy, capital allocation, and growth tradeoffs.
- Foster collaboration across product, GTM, and operations to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Bring maturity, decisiveness, and transparency to an evolving business environment.
Requirements
- 10+ years in strategic finance, with experience as CFO or VP Finance at a PE-backed company.
- Proven success refinancing or restructuring institutional debt, ideally with complex lenders.
- Deep understanding of subscription metrics, capital markets, and financing structures.
- Experience navigating PE boards, investor relations, and high-stakes financial planning.
