Job Description
Independent heavy equipment company requires a lead heavy equipment mechanic to look after approximately 20 to 30 machines working primarily in the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment, primarily Caterpillar machines.
- Work in both shop and field operations in the drilling/energy industry.
- Report directly to the operations manager.
- Occasionally travel to other states to service and repair equipment.
- Be available for substantial overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Good knowledge of electronics related to heavy equipment.
- Welding ability is preferred but not required.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have or be willing to obtain basic safety training certificates.
Local candidates are preferable, but on-site shop residence is available if needed.
Compensation:
Hourly pay range depending on qualifications: $35 - $45 per hour. Expected hours: 50 - 70 hours per week. Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
