Location: Norfolk, VA Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time Description Company: Herdt Consulting, Inc. This position is in the Army Contract Writing System (ACWS) of the Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) Program Management Office. Serve as a Network Engineer as part of a team of Service Desk engineers supporting ACWS and leadership within the DIBS portfolio. This position involves network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support across the Army Contracting Enterprise. Activities include technical assistance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with internal teams or external vendors to maintain accessibility and availability of ACWS for users on the Appian platform. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Guide implementation teams through complex technical solutions with Appian and tangential technologies Ensure solutions are built for scale and performance Integrate multi-tier architecture through integrations and system configuration Create and document implementation best practices as well as knowledge base articles for internal enablement Provide thought leadership on process improvement Support internal solutions, infrastructure, and tools Provide mentorship, training, and enablement of resources Able to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Appian applications Use each of Appian's core components and implement them according to proven design patterns Serve as a point of escalation for Tier II functional members within the ACWS Service Desk team regarding performance and scalability issues Work closely with the ACWS program's internal teams, such as database administrators, DevOps leads, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle Requirements and Qualifications: Must be a US citizen Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance required Security Plus or ITIL certification required 10+ years of experience Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering or mathematics-intensive discipline, or an applicable training certificate from an accredited training institution DAWIA Level 3 certification in Business Financial Management or equivalent Additional Requirements: In order to be considered for this position you must complete the job questionnaire that is part of the online application process What We Can Offer You: The chance to be part of a company that has a reputation for excellence in task execution Full-time associates receive 3 weeks of paid vacation each year 11 federal holidays We offer competitive benefits
