Position Type: Part-Time (Seasonal Stipend + Bonuses)
Start Date: Summer 2025
Season Runs: April – July (with year-round responsibilities)
The Golden State Storm, a premier women’s tackle football team competing in the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), is seeking a Head Coach to lead the team into the 2026 season and beyond. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated leader to shape the future of women’s professional football in Northern California.

- Represent the team professionally within the league and local community
- Lead the team through pre-season, in-season, and post-season activities
- Collaborate with team leadership on player development and offseason programming
- Serve as the primary recruiter and talent identifier for the team
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of athletes and coaches through outreach, events, referrals, and scouting
- Cultivate relationships with local sports communities, facilities, gyms, colleges, and flag football programs to attract new talent
- Develop and implement offensive, defensive, and special teams strategies
- Oversee and lead practices, film sessions, and game day execution
- Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of volunteer assistant coaches
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Coordinate logistics with team management, including travel, scheduling, and communications
- Assist with compliance and health/safety protocols
- Prior HS, College or pro-level coaching or playing experience in tackle/Flag football or another team sport (highly preferred)
- Experience leading a team, program, or unit as a coach or coordinator
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to recruit athletes from diverse backgrounds and experience levels
- Understanding of a start-up sports business environment
- Passion for women’s sports and a commitment to building opportunity and equity through football
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel during the season
- Must be located in or willing to travel to Northern California regularly
