$64,800.00/yr - $72,800.00/yr About Us Changers Leadership Institute (GCLI) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Program Manager for our innovative youth leadership programs. Founded in 2018, GCLI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to fostering leadership and power among high-opportunity youth in the Inland Empire. Our goal is to create a positive social impact through systems change by utilizing grassroots organizing, narrative power, digital advocacy, and civic engagement. Our mission is to provide a platform for young leaders to develop essential career skills, explore their passions, and grow as authentic leaders. We support youth in becoming empowered activists and organizers, with a focus on careers in nonprofit or social justice organizations. Our primary aim is to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, tools, and resources they need to effectively lead and advocate for their communities. Key Objectives Manage, coach, supervise, train, and direct peer mentors, administrators, vendors, contractors, and volunteers, ensuring program goals are reached. Develop, maintain, and implement strategies, programs, activities, and solutions that maintain organizational standards of excellence, yield high-quality outcomes, and improve performance. Manage the program budget with prudence. Elevate the organization's public profile and reputation amongst key community members, influencers, decision-makers, and communities. Conduct outreach through one-on-ones, presentations, and community meetings Develop, coordinate, deliver, and/or facilitate trainings, workshops, presentations, meetings, programs, and events. Manage/maintain accurate records, database management, and logistics Perform a wide variety of related duties as assigned Other Responsibilities Organizational Culture Establish constructive relationships with staff and youth program participants to establish trust, respect, and understanding. Create a safe space for meaningful dialogue between peer mentors, youth, and the organization. Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for all youth, regardless of background or identity. Create a supportive environment and culture of transparency, trust, innovation, leadership, and accountability throughout all aspects of the program. Program Design, Implementation, and Efficacy Implement resources, strategies, and programming to support youth in becoming invested in their communities and overcoming systemic barriers. Monitor program effectiveness and success using qualitative and quantitative metrics. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to successfully implement all programmatic activities. Develop and implement strategies to increase youth recruitment and engagement in the program. Maintain effective communication with BIPOC youth organizers, stakeholders, funders, and program partners to ensure successful collaboration. Facilitate team meetings and support staff members and volunteers on operational issues and program-related activities. Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the reach of GCLI programs. Program Evaluation and Assessment Analyze data collected to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly. Develop a comprehensive evaluation process to provide feedback on the overall effectiveness of the youth program. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the successes of program initiatives. Monitor progress towards desired outcomes, taking corrective action when needed. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to youth programs and nonprofit organizations. Support staff in providing safe, high-quality programming and services for youth participants. Maintain the safety and security of program participants, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with best practices. Ensure optimal delivery of service through quality control measures. Cultural Competency: A prerequisite for this position is a profound understanding and comfort in engaging with youth who may be experiencing challenges, Black and Brown youth, Black and Brown communities, and other communities of color. The successful candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of racial and social justice issues on a local, statewide, and national scale. Familiarity with transformative justice or abolitionist ideologies is crucial. This role requires a commitment to ongoing learning and promoting inclusivity, equity, and social justice in all interactions and initiatives. We are a digitally innovative organization and have a robust tech stack. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with technology and have proficient computer skills. We use Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides, Keela or a similar CRM, Slack, Zoom, and Canva. Required skills and qualifications Experience:
2 to 5 years of experience managing program staff in the nonprofit sector. Education:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, Political Science, Social Work, or a related field. Skills: Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills. High proficiency in computer programs, software, and social media, including Google Workspace, Zoom, graphic design/layout programs, and effective online research. Excellent written, analytical, and oral communication abilities. Working knowledge of digital marketing. Cultural Competence:

Preferred skills (not required) Strong working knowledge of Salesforce CRM software and Keela Experience in proposal/ grant writing Marketing and communication skills Bilingual in English and Spanish Compensation We want to build a long-term relationship with the right candidate and develop leadership opportunities within the organization. There are several opportunities for advancement and growth within the organization. The Program Manager position is hybrid but must be located in the Inland Empire and within driving distance of Riverside, requiring the employee to be in the office three days a week. The salary is $72,800 annually for a full-time exempt employee working 32- 40 hours per week.
