General Description:
We are seeking an Attorney Recruiting Coordinator to join our team. The Attorney Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for administrative and organizational support of the recruiting and hiring process for lateral partners, senior counsel, and associates, as well as entry-level and summer associates in assigned offices. This position reports to the Recruiting Manager for the assigned offices. Under the manager’s direction, this position interacts directly with section, practice group and office leadership to recruit and hire attorneys at all experience levels. This position also interacts with third-party recruiters and law schools to build candidate pipelines. This is a dynamic position, requiring a high level of engagement and professionalism. This position offers a hybrid schedule, providing flexibility to work from home or the office. Currently, this role requires weekly in-office attendance, as well as participation in occasional team meetings, training sessions, and firm-sponsored events.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates the law school recruitment process, including acting as a liaison with law school career services offices and facilitating participation of firm representatives at candidate pipeline events. Assists with advancing the firm’s brand on campuses.
Manages the firm’s relationships with and participation in student programs and activities.
Oversees the initial interview and callback interview processes, including but not limited to scheduling, greeting and communicating with candidates and selecting interviewers. Coordinates and reviews interview feedback.
Drafts related recruitment correspondence, coordinates communication with law student and attorney applicants, and maintains recruiting candidate files.
Coordinates lateral attorney and summer associate orientation.
Processes new hire paperwork and liaises with HR and Integration to onboard new hires.
In collaboration with the Recruiting Manager, designs and coordinates many aspects of the firm’s summer associate program, including pre-arrival processes and communications, orientation, mentoring, and programming.
Special projects and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong writing skills.
Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure and with rapidly changing priorities.
Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
Ability to keep confidences and to interface diplomatically with lawyers and staff.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and recruiting candidate databases.
Required Qualifications & Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
3+ years of law firm recruiting experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.
This position may be filled in the District of Columbia. The base salary range for this position in this location is $36.40/hr - $54.70/hr. This range may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, Holland & Knight provides bonus opportunities and an exceptional benefits package.
