The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks faculty candidates in the area of general obstetrics and gynecology and/or obstetric hospitalist. Successful applicants will hold an MD/DO or equivalent degree, be qualified to obtain Oklahoma licensure, and be eligible for credentialing under OU Health Physicians as well as area medical facilities. Physician applicants must be American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency training program. School of Community Medicine faculty are appointed through the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine with academic rank based on qualifications. Various administrative positions may be available based on qualifications and program needs.
Primary responsibilities will include patient care, resident and student teaching, and participation in scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will be a developing leader with interest in and a passion for clinical medicine, research, and teaching. Positions are available for general OBGYN physicians to develop a clinical practice and/or serve as a hospitalist. The successful candidate will find an environment of high clinical excellence, collaboration within and across specialties, and high academic achievement. The School of Community Medicine (SCM) is an integrated track within the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine, located on the OU-Tulsa campus. In addition to a 4-year medical student program, the SCM has 7 residency programs, 5 fellowships, and a physician assistant program. The OU Health Physicians multi-specialty practice offers a full range of care through inpatient and outpatient settings.
