Travel:
- 50% in-state travel (within Florida, specifically Sarasota)
- Travel as a crew
- Room and board provided
- Typical schedule: 8–10 hour days, 3–4 nights per week
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (no suspensions)
- Clean criminal background
Job Summary:
We are actively seeking a qualified IMSA Traffic Signal Technician to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience with traffic signal systems and an IMSA Certification. The position involves approximately 50% travel , including field work at various sites. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, inspect, and repair traffic signal systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues in the field.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with IMSA standards, MUTCD, and local/state regulations.
- Document work performed, including system diagnostics and materials used.
- Collaborate with engineering staff, contractors, and public agency personnel.
- Travel to job sites up to 50% of the time, which may include overnight stays.
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I Certification (Level II or III preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with traffic signal systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and control technologies.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and wiring schematics.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
