We are seeking an enthusiastic Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to support power generation and heavy Industrial projects in our Charlotte, NC office. What You'll Do Here Familiarity with the Nuclear standard Design Process, and experience preparing engineering drawings including but not limited to wiring diagrams and schematics, P&IDs, logic diagrams, instrument hookups, etc. for plant modification packages including digital upgrades. Prepare specifications for control of plant process / auxiliary systems. Prepare and review logic diagrams and system functional descriptions for implementation of system control logic into plant control systems. Evaluate and specify pressure, temperature, flow, and level process instrumentation. Perform calculations for a nuclear plant such as instrument set-points. Supervise other engineers and designers assigned to the project. This includes preparation of estimates, project schedules, and performance monitoring. What You Bring To The Team B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering from an accredited 4-year university. 5 years overall experience in design, operations, or field service/support for power plants or heavy industrial facilities. Experience to include leading a team of engineers and technicians and training/mentoring junior staff. Good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to interface with other members of the project team including other disciplines, clients, contractors, and vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant. Field experience at an operating nuclear plant. Experience using CAD software to prepare or revise technical drawings.
