Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies to drive engagement, attendance, and awareness for the brand and its activities. Lead media planning and buying, manage marketing efforts for development initiatives, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure campaigns are aligned, strategic, and effectively executed. Provide leadership and mentoring to one direct report: Assistant Integrated Marketing Manager.
Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of platforms (print, radio, OOH, digital, etc.) to drive engagement, attendance, and awareness for the brand and its activities Lead media planning and buying, including media placement, vendor negotiations, execution, tracking and performance reporting Collaborate with Development department, provide strategic input, and manage marketing campaigns for development and membership initiatives Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure campaigns are aligned, strategic, and effectively executed Balance creativity with analytical insight, ensuring marketing efforts are impactful and aligned with the brand, audience goals, and institutional priorities Work with supervisor and Social Media Strategist to ensure campaigns are aligned across digital platforms, including paid social, email marketing, and website content Measure and report on campaign effectiveness, using data to optimize performance and guide future marketing investments Manage relationships with external vendors (media buyers, swag producers) to ensure quality execution, budget adherence, and timely delivery of materials ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Responsibilities will include the following, but are not limited to: Integrated Marketing – 80%

Work with supervisor to develop and monitor operating budget Identify and allocate marketing resources effectively across multiple campaigns and channels to maximize impact Support team to develop, implement, and monitor systems, procedures, and cross-departmental processes to ensure smooth operation of the department Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marketing trends, audience behaviors, and industry best practices to continuously refine marketing approach Provide day-to-day support to create an efficient and collaborative working environment Share campaign intelligence and collaborate across the museum on programs and strategic initiatives to maximize visitor engagement and revenue Nurture a customer-focused team to provide a positive end-to-end visitor experience Other Duties – 5 %
Contribute to an institutional focus of delivering exceptional, welcoming, and inclusive customer service—creating positive, meaningful experiences for all visitors, every time Participate in institutional learning opportunities to grow our collective understanding and integration of antiracism, cultural competency, and equity values into SAM’s work
WE ARE LOOKING FOR Required Qualifications
Six years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications , including two years in a people management capacity Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable impact B ackground in media planning and buying, including working with agencies and vendors to place, track, and optimize advertising Experience managing cross-functional marketing projects, ensuring alignment across teams and meeting deadlines Experience with leveraging metrics and data to strategically shape marketing efforts Proven ability to track campaign spend budgets, analyze data, and drive results-oriented decision-making Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with Board members, donors, executives, management, employees, and the public Ability to exercise sound, timely judgement Professionalverbal and written communication, with an ability to tailor communications according to audience Management and supervisory skills; ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects Successfully assess priorities and work well with deadlines, strong time management, problem solving, and analytical skills Negotiation and project management skills Exercise discretion in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Slack, and internet-based research Ability to learn Canto, Google drive, Asana, and Rev Ability to pass and maintain security background check clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on marketing, digital marketing, or advertising related field, or equivalent experience Four years of experience in a museum or arts and culture sector

WORK SCHEDULE
This role is typically scheduled to work standard business hours Monday - Friday. However, the needs of this role requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule as directed by your supervisor in support of the department or organization. Please connect with your Recruiter or Manager for more information about SAM’s current hybrid work policy and expectations. SAM’s hybrid work policy is subject to change.
COMPENSATION: $89,300 - $94,000
WORK CONDITIONS
Exposure: Work areas are primarily inside, in a climate-controlled environment with light background noise.
Stationary Work: Approximately 80% of time is spent stationary while working at a desk. Balance of time (approximately 20%) is spent moving around the work area. Occasional extended periods of standing may be required.
Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication in English with trustees, the public, and co-workers is necessary.
Vision: Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos and other appropriate paperwork.
Office Work: Ability to effectively and regularly operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and printers, and ability to inspect, prepare and use paperwork, files, equipment, and supplies is necessary.
