Annual Bonus and Sign-on bonus Direct message the job poster from The PeterSan Group and PeterSan Legal Staffing Our client, a fast-growing consumer products company, is seeking an experienced IP lawyer with 10-20 years of experience to lead the strategic management and protection of its global intellectual property portfolio. This role is critical to supporting innovation, mitigating legal risk, and strengthening brand value across domestic and international markets. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies to manage, protect, enforce, and grow the company’s IP assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The role includes advising cross-functional teams on product development, innovation, branding, and competitive risk, while managing enforcement actions and legal disputes. Responsibilities include: -Strategically manage and expand the global IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets - Lead IP prosecution, clearance searches, audits, renewals, and filings across jurisdictions - Counsel R&D, product, and executive teams on patentability, branding, and launch strategy - Lead brand protection and anti-counterfeiting efforts, including cease-and-desist actions, takedowns, and litigation - Oversee IP disputes, litigation, and enforcement, coordinating with external counsel and regulators - Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements (e.g., NDAs, licenses, vendor and commercial contracts) -Conduct due diligence and IP risk analysis in M&A and third-party assessments Applicants must have the following qualifications in order to be considered: -J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted in Florida or eligible for in-house registration -10+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on intellectual property law -Experience in the consumer products industry required -Deep knowledge of patent, trademark, and copyright law; experience managing outside counsel -Strong business judgment, collaboration, and communication skills Seniority level
