Director, EU Government Affairs
to lead its policy engagement and advocacy across the
European Union.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced government affairs professional to
influence high-stakes policy decisions
at the intersection of
technology, cybersecurity, AI, data centres, sustainability, digital regulations, e-waste, and energy policy. Your Role in Our Mission As a key leader in Iron Mountain’s government affairs team, you will: Engage with senior EU policymakers at the
European Commission, Parliament, Council, and national governments
to shape regulatory decisions. Develop and execute advocacy strategies on
AI, data privacy, cybersecurity, digital regulations, sustainability, e-waste, data centre energy efficiency, and circular economy policies. Monitor, analyze, and anticipate regulatory changes, identifying risks and opportunities for
Iron Mountain’s data centre and digital business operations. Advise senior leadership on political and legislative developments, providing strategic insights and recommendations. Represent Iron Mountain in
industry alliances, trade associations, and policy forums , influencing key debates on
green data centre initiatives, energy regulations, and digital infrastructure policies. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure
alignment between government affairs strategy, sustainability goals, and business objectives. Valued Skills and Experience Extensive experience in
EU government affairs, public policy, or regulatory engagement
within government, corporate, or trade association roles. Deep understanding of the
EU legislative and regulatory process , particularly in
technology, data security, digital infrastructure, and sustainability. Strong knowledge of national policy landscapes
in the EU , including energy efficiency standards, e-waste regulations, and data center sustainability initiatives. Proven track record of
high-level advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and policy influence. Exceptional ability to build
strategic relationships and negotiate at the highest levels. Strong business acumen, with the ability to align
policy goals with corporate objectives in the technology and sustainability sectors. Fluent in
English ; proficiency in
French or German
