This is an In Office position. 9am-5:30pm.

The Junior Staff Accountant will be responsible for handling all accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions for the company. The Junior Staff Accountant will manage the cash receipts of the company from clients, ensure the timely submission of invoices and statements to clients, manage payables to vendors and weekly review of the AR and AP Aging reports.
Responsibilities
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
Ensure timely generation and submittal of invoices to clients.
Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts.
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
Reconciles accounts receivable on a weekly basis.
Review AR aging to ensure compliance.
Assists in generating monthly billing statements.
Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
Analyze and process expense reports and code expenses to the appropriate general ledger account.
Reconcile and code credit card statements and enter expenses into the AP system.
Track invoices from our vendors.
Review and verify vendors/suppliers' invoices.
Record vendors/suppliers' invoices, coding the proper general ledger accounts and enter them into the AP module.
Reconcile A/P transactions daily. Application of payments into the AP system.
Research and resolve invoice disputes and issues.
Reconcile monthly statements from vendors to AP system.
Create new vendors in the system, including requests for W-9s and ACH payment information.
Weekly review of AP aging report and prepare payment runs.
Review of AP transactions that need to be rebilled to clients.
Credit card payments of vendors,
Assist Controller with month-end closing.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs. Knowledge of Quickbooks is a Big Plus!
2-3 year experience
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients and vendors.
Salary $62-68K (depending on experience).
