Salary:
$75,000 - 11 month position Other Compensation:

The
Director of Dining Services
is a dynamic leadership role for an energetic, entrepreneurial manager eager to improve business practices. This position oversees the successful operation of Dining Services for the Stoneham, MA K-12 district, ensuring client and customer satisfaction through efficient, cost-effective management. Responsibilities include all food service activities such as cafeteria operations, retail, catering, quality improvement, sanitation, and client relations. *Note: This position follows the academic calendar of the K-12 district, including a summer break of approximately 4-5 weeks. Key Responsibilities
Manage salaried managers and hourly staff in the Food Service Department Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account Interview, hire, train staff; assign work; appraise performance; handle discipline and complaints Prepare and manage the annual budget Use company systems for reporting on inventory, cash, production, payroll, etc. Ensure food preparation and service adhere to standards for quality, sanitation, safety (HACCP, OSHA), and portion control Perform other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field 5-7 years of direct food service management experience Strong knowledge of food trends, sanitation, food costs, and presentation Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed services (desirable) Leadership, management, and coaching skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Financial, budgeting, and computational proficiency Proficiency with computer programs, Microsoft Office, email, internet ServSafe Certification Apply to Chartwells Schools today!
