Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Supervisor, the KnippeRx Material Handler is responsible for safely operating equipment, handling pallets according to client specifications, and is responsible for other duties assigned.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine and professional pharmacy functions.
Respect and follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws.
Follow and aid in enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
Perform Quality Assurance checks on automated technology specific to pharmacy equipment and shipping requirements
Maintains a safe work environment at all times. Reports any unsafe issues to the supervisor.
Focus on quality and accuracy as part of the company wide goal: Quality First
Display: Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (CHART).
Maintains a clean work environment at all times in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures. Expected to maintain good general housekeeping practices throughout the facilities. Reports any sanitation issues to the supervisor.
Participate in user training that is led by qualified staff members that will include but is not limited to: hands on the job training, material handling safe practices, Warehouse Management processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training. Said trainings are documented accordingly.
Certified to safely operate material handling equipment in various areas and various applications. Some of the equipment types are sit down counterbalance, deep reach truck, order selector, turret truck, and electric pallet jacks. Equipment can be expected to be utilized in standard aisle configurations, wire guided configurations, and in refrigerated configurations. The equipment will be utilized for inbound trailer unloading, put away of stock, movement of stock, cycle counting of stock, picking of stock, and outbound loading of trailers and LTL.
Users can be expected to work within various areas of distribution and backend operations such as: Receiving, Shipping, Returns, freezer, and refrigerated space.
Assorted warehouse management tasks such as receiving incoming materials, counting, sorting, verification of item numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, counting, data entering, and other visual verifications will be conducted frequently.
As directed by management conduct a sweep of areas such as cold chain, various shipping stations, and outbound staging areas to ensure all outbound orders are to be loaded on carrier vehicles as expected and when expected. Communicate end of shift updates to management accordingly. Utilize both direct verbal communications and e-mail updates for documentation purposes.
Coordinate with inventory leadership for proper placement of product
Along with warehouse functions, other software applications such as UPS, FedEx, USPS, and shipment End of Day processes may be used daily.
Expected to assist with the training of new employees.
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a standing environment
Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously
Ability to perform repetitious work accurately
Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once.
Ability to learn from a variety of techniques
Ability to follow established process flows
Ability to work effectively in highly stressful situations, exhibiting flexibility in changing situations
Attention to detail
Knowledge of warehouse management processes or systems
Use of scale counter
Work independently with little supervision and meet daily expectations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Location of job activities 100% inside
Must be available for evenings and weekend shifts if needed
Noise and / or vibrations exposure
Reaching (overhead), and handling
Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Sufficient to operate standard office equipment
Stand, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
Lift, carry, and move up to 60 pounds
