The Vice President of Business Development – Strategic Partnerships is responsible for identifying, establishing, and expanding strategic partnerships with major prime contractors in the defense, aerospace, and intelligence sectors. This individual will lead efforts to align Knowmadics solutions with major programs of record—both awarded and in the bid and proposal stage—to secure subcontracting/contracting opportunities. The role requires a strong industry network, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of influencing contracting decisions to drive revenue growth. Duties and Responsibilities Drive revenue growth and expand market reach within major prime contractors and U.S. Government program/contracting agencies (Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, DHS) aligned with Knowmadics’ capabilities and strategic objectives. Build and maintain Knowmadics’ relationships with and serve as the company’s primary interface to large government primes, subsystem providers, and innovators to enhance collaboration. Identify and pursue contracting and subcontracting opportunities on major defense, aerospace, and intelligence programs of record. Develop and maintain engagement plans, including targeted contact lists, key conferences, and industry events. Collaborate with internal teams and technical leads to drive targeted engagement. Provide strategic input and assist with presentations and planning. Provide thought leadership and expertise to internal stakeholders, partners, and customers on EW solutions and market trends. Represent the company as a thought leader through LinkedIn, industry publications, podcasts, and speaking engagements. Define and communicate achievable objectives in 90-day increments over a two-year horizon. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred. Active security clearance or ability to obtain one within the first 12 months. 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales within the defense, aerospace, or intelligence sectors. Proven track record of securing contracting agreements with major primes and government agencies. Strong existing network within the government and prime contractors, ideally within the Electronic warfare domain. Exceptional oral presentation and writing skills—must be able to effectively communicate complex ideas to executive leadership, industry partners, and key stakeholders. Deep understanding of government contracting, including FAR/DFARS, OTAs, and navigating the government procurement processes. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans. Strong industry knowledge and market expertise in EW solutions preferred. Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver results. Working conditions Remote work is permitted, but the candidate must be able to travel as needed, primarily in the USA. 70% more travel required. Physical requirements Prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to travel often. Direct reports Seniority level:
