Our Maternity Unit is a 22-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit, complete with a staffed well-baby nursery, offering comprehensive care throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Our dedicated team collaborates closely with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), ensuring care extends beyond the newborn to also include the postpartum mother, fostering family unity. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged. As a Lactation Consultant, you will specialize in providing support and guidance to breastfeeding mothers. Duties include helping mothers with breastfeeding techniques, addressing challenges such as latching difficulties, nipple pain, low milk supply, and other breastfeeding -related issues. You will also play a role in offering education on infant nutrition. Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license required Lactation Consultant Certification required Why Bellin Health:
