Join to apply for the CNC Programmer role at TCLAD 1 month ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the CNC Programmer role at TCLAD Job Summary: Program, setup, and operate as a production backup, if required; CNC laser machine, multi-spindle drill, drill/routing machines, turret presses, and machining centers: VMC and PDA, per work instructions, setup sheets, blueprints, process travelers, and/or verbal instructions. Also support the Toolmaker functions as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Program, setup, and operate CNC controlled laser machine, drill machines, drill/routing machines, turret presses, ink jet printers and machining centers. Establish part specific programs including definition of process and machine settings. Write and maintain setup sheets and logs for each part number. Verify product quality through use of optical and mechanical measuring machines, gage pins, calipers, and micrometers. Monitor machine and product to insure process is operating within established specification limits. Maintain workstation cleanliness expectations. Perform short-term machine preventative maintenance. Provide backup support for the toolmaker function as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Competencies: Understanding of CAM/CNC programming, Master Cam experience helpful. Knowledge of computer applications such as manufacturing software, project management software, and Microsoft Office applications, Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to perform complex mathematical calculations and statistical analysis. Must be able to use a micrometer, caliper, read and understand blueprints, process travelers, and operate optical and mechanical measuring equipment. Good organization skills and attention to detail. Able to work independently as well as a team player. Able to understand quality requirements. Familiar with safety regulations as they pertain to the job. Education and/or Experience: Associates degree or technical certificate in machine tool or CNC programming required with 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
