Cleared Vulnerability Researcher/Software Engineer
Bestgate Engineering is seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and exploit development. The ideal candidate will support both OCO (Offensive Cyber Operations) and DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations), contributing across the full software lifecycle. Responsibilities: Perform in-depth vulnerability assessments using reverse engineering and kernel debugging. Develop and test C/C++ software for low-level and embedded environments. Analyze protocol stacks and work with x86/x64 assembly. Design, implement, and document high-quality software solutions. Support full-cycle engineering from requirements gathering to deployment. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to refine specifications. Create and execute test plans, and participate in process improvement initiatives. Investigate and exploit system-level weaknesses. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering/Vulnerability Research. Proficiency in C/C++ development. Experience with x86/x64 assembly, reverse engineering, kernel debugging, and exploit development. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph. *Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000. The final offer will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. This range is a reference and subject to change. Why Bestgate?
