Principal Software Engineer (AI)
Location:
Fully Remote A leading software start up (Mid stage) in the supply chain domain are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Software Engineer to lead their AI software initiatives. The Principal Software Engineer will need a strong Elixir programming background, and will be responsible for architecting advanced AI systems, and mentoring engineers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges, define the AI feature roadmap, and significantly impact our platform and the supply chain industry. Key Responsibilities: Define and articulate our AI vision and strategy from a software engineering perspective. Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across OMS, Billing, WMS, and more. Architect and implement scalable AI systems and infrastructure. Design and develop machine learning models. Integrate and utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs. Write maintainable code in Elixir, Python, and other languages. Build and maintain data pipelines. Ensure AI system performance, reliability, and security. General Responsibilities: Provide technical direction and guidance. Lead system design and implementation. Solve complex technical challenges. Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning. Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders. Maintain high standards for code quality and software development practices. Lead cross-team technical initiatives. What You'll Need: 10+ years in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning. Proven track record of implementing complex AI systems. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and data analysis. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP. Proficiency in Elixir, Python, and related libraries.
