JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated Learning & Development (L&D) Intern (4-month internship) to support our L&D Manager in delivering key initiatives and projects. This is an excellent opportunity for HRD students in their final semester or recent HRD graduates to gain hands-on experience in corporate learning, instructional design, and training operations. The L&D Intern will assist in creating engaging learning content, managing basic LMS reporting, preparing internal communications, and supporting the team with various tasks related to talent development.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of guides, job aids, and training materials to support learning initiatives.
- Help create short e-learning modules or videos using provided tools and resources.
- Support basic reporting and tracking in the Learning Management System (LMS), including pulling completion reports and learner analytics.
- Draft and proofread internal communications, such as emails, announcements, or training updates.
- Perform audio recordings and light editing for training modules as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the L&D Manager across various learning projects.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and assist in designing learning solutions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for improving learning experiences.
Job Requirements
- Current students in their final semester or recent graduate (within the past 12 months) from an HRD, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related program.
- Strong interest in learning & development, instructional design, or corporate training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Basic skills in Camtasia or similar tools for video editing and screen recording.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel to the Houston office on rare occasions, depending on project needs.
- Optional Qualifications:
- Ability to record and edit audio clips (experience with tools like Audacity, Camtasia, or similar is a plus).
- Comfortable with basic reporting tasks and working in learning systems (LMS experience is a plus).
Additional Requirements
- As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to submit a sample guide and/or video based on a provided topic to demonstrate their writing or content development skills.

- Flexible part-time hours (Monday–Friday, between 8am to 5pm, max 20 hours/week)
