Position Summary US Federal Credit Union is in search of a talented and experienced individual to join the credit union as their next Vice President of Human Resources. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer this position will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and oversight of the human resources department. These duties include hiring, HR compliance, employee relations, and compensation/benefits administration. This position will also work closely with the CEO to build an HR department that provides exceptional employee experience. The ideal candidate should be an experienced team builder, with great communication skills, who is highly motivated and strives to make the Credit Union the best place to work. 10+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, Master’s degree and HR certifications are preferred.
US Federal Credit Union was founded in 1936 and began operating as Sheet & Tin Credit Union, serving steel workers exclusively. Eighty years later, the Credit Union now serves those who live, work, worship, or attend school in Lake or Porter Counties. The organization employs more than 40 people, has five branches, over 12,000 members, and assets of almost $200 million.
