Test Technician
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team. As a Test Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and consistency of products by conducting inspections, tests, and measurements. You will collaborate with various departments to identify and resolve quality issues and help maintain high product standards throughout the production process. The Test Technician will report to the site Quality Engineer.
TEST TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with design and production teams to decide testing requirements.
- Customer Internal-FAT / FOK /FWT Testing
- Prepare detailed test reports and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate and provide feedback to the Production Team
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical issues found during testing.
- Ensure products meet regulatory and OSHA safety standards.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment / Develop testing stations.
- Pre-Test Inspection and Setup including build inspection and specification verification
- Data Logging and Analysis to be documented and provided to Quality Department
- Post-Test dismantling and preparation for shipping.
- Support the Quality Engineer as needed including but not limited to in-process Quality checks.
- Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with production, project management, and engineering, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- High adaptability to flexible travel arrangements and working hours, including weekends and off-hours.
THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM:
- Experience in product testing, inspection, and quality audits.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools for identifying trends and discrepancies.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience working in an Electrical Testing role is desired.
- Experience working within a Manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with all relevant standards including UL, NEMA, ANSI, and NETA, and maintain NFPA 70E.
- Experience in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Expertise in power distribution products such as switchgear, switchboards, UPSs, static and automatic transfer switches, PDUs, PLCs, and BMS systems.
- NFPA 70E certification is preferred but will be provided by CEL.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, including but not limited to UL891, UL62368-1, UL508A, UL67, UL1008, UL1008S, UL1558.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and multitasking capability.
- Professional communication skills suitable for interfacing with customers.
