We are seeking a well rounded Staff Accountant to play a key role within our Accounting department at MJ Daly, LLC! This role is responsible for maintaining the accounts payable/receivable functions under the direction of the Controller. Position is based in Waterbury, CT.
Essential Duties:
Perform accounts payable/receivable functions under the direction of the Controller. Manage the A/R aging- Keeping all accounts current Collections Record cash receipts from Customers Serve as liaison between the accounting division and project managers to ensure invoice integrity. Enter invoices into accounting software (Sage Paperless). Entering Certified payrolls on various contractor portals. Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as needed. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred but not required. 5+ years of experience in accounting administration. Experience in construction accounting is highly desirable but not required. Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. Experience using Timberline project financial software or similar software. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
